Shiver, written by Maggie Stievater, is a beautifully written book alternating from the perspectives of Grace and Sam. When Grace was a little girl, she was taken by the wolves and nearly killed. Yet one wolf saved her, and came to the edge of the woods every year to see her. The wolf is Sam, a werewolf not by choice. He remembers Grace as the girl he saved, and the girl he has fallen for. Yet when other humans start to go missing, and the werewolf population increases, Grace ventures forth to clear up the questions, and finds a shocking discovery. Mystical, magical, and dark, this story is everything it needs to be, and more.
