Only Elizabeth does not fall for Henry's wealth, charm and looks, instead falling hopelessly in love with the stable boy Will. Yet Lina, Elizabeth's maid, wants Will for herself, and will go to extreme measures to get him. As will Diana and Penelope for Henry. This series, set in old time New York, is the kind that is impossible to put down, capturing the interest of the reader. It is deep, entertaining, glamorous, and lovely, one of the best romance novels of our time.
